Remote DevOps hiring that actually works from India
“Remote” on a careers page often means remote-within-one-country or remote-from-company-hubs. India-based engineers need postings that explicitly allow India time zones, or global roles that hire through an Employer of Record (EOR) and pay in USD/EUR. This page only includes listings we classify as remote work mode after checking location and description signals.
Strong remote DevOps/SRE roles emphasise async communication, written design docs, on-call that respects timezone coverage, and measurable platform ownership. Weak ones are hybrid jobs mislabelled as remote — we try to exclude those, and we welcome reports when a listing drifts.
What to clarify before you apply
- Location eligibility: India OK, APAC OK, or “US-only remote” hidden in the fine print
- Employment model: direct payroll, Indian entity, or EOR/contractor
- On-call expectations and overlap hours with US/EU teammates
- Equipment, security (MDM), and data residency constraints
- Comp currency and benefits — especially for global remote offers
