Summary
OpenFX (Accel/Lightspeed-backed fintech) is hiring a DevOps Engineer in Bengaluru to own production reliability for systems processing billions in cross-border transaction volume.
Description
OpenFX builds infrastructure for institutional cross-border payments. As volume scales, you will own production reliability, safe deployment systems, and operational automation — reducing silent failures, slow incident response, and fragile releases on the money path.
Responsibilities
- Own reliability and operability of 1–2 production services, including money-path systems
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for frequent, safe deployments
- Define and improve observability across metrics, logs, and alerts
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response when needed
- Automate deployments, rollbacks, and recovery workflows
- Partner with Backend, Security, and Infra teams on infrastructure solutions
- Improve availability, MTTR, alert quality, and incident frequency
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–7 years operating production systems
- Strong Linux, networking, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals
- Experience running containerized workloads in production
- Hands-on CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance
- Monitoring and alerting system design
- Proven production incident handling
- Clear communication of operational tradeoffs
Preferred Qualifications
- Kubernetes or similar orchestration at scale
- Terraform or equivalent IaC
- PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka operational experience
- Fintech or high transaction-volume systems
- Security and compliance exposure
- Mentoring junior engineers
