Summary

Arrow Electronics is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer II to join the technical team at the Bangalore GESC office. This role balances modern cloud engineering platform techniques (Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and Azure cloud infrastructure) with enterprise system administration covering Linux and Windows environments.

Description

Be a part of the technical team focusing on cloud engineering platform techniques and processes. You will help build and grow Kubernetes-based microservices clusters, provide platform direction in Azure, and maintain core data center infrastructure across Redhat Linux, VMware, and Windows server environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow Kubernetes-based microservices clusters and provide engineering platform direction in Azure
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and drive continuous automation of infrastructure tasks
  • Provide expertise to development teams on CI/CD pipelines and assist with platform triage
  • Perform day-to-day administration, troubleshooting, disk management (LVM), and security OS patching on Redhat Linux and Windows servers
  • Manage user accounts, directory permissions, Active Directory, group policies, and file/print services (NFS/CIFS)
  • Monitor infrastructure alerts, system performance, backup status, and the Citrix environment, handling initial troubleshooting and escalations
  • Support data center environments utilizing ESXi and VMware virtualization platforms

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a 4-year degree, or 6 years with an advanced degree, or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience administering Redhat Linux and Windows Server environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills covering OS, disk space (LVM), access permissions, and networking mounts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cloud engineering platforms (Azure cloud infrastructure)
  • Experience building, running, and scaling Kubernetes microservices clusters
  • Background implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines and automated deployments
